Carlfred Giles has been consulting with church's, ministries and Christian organizations for 20 years. Out of this study he has developed a passion for working hand in hand with leaders in Churches or Business organizations to help them focus on the tangible or intangible details of their strategy, plans or organization to create measurable change that will ultimately bring them success. Carlfred is a Certificated Church Consultant, having completed this process with The Rainer Group (currently The Lawless Group and Church Central) working with Thom S. Rainer, Ph.D and Charles Lawless, Ph.D. Carlfred has worked on staff as Church Administrator at Wesley AME Church in Houston, TX. and Director of Communications at Williams Temple COGIC. Working alongside the leadership teams of the church propelled his thinking about doing work in the area of consulting with emphasis on analysis and planning for successful growth and development of organizations as well as leaders in Churches. What I do at Child of God Ministry Concepts & Consulting?Well, that’s a good question. My focus is on empowering people to connect at a deeper level. Sometimes technology can make that possible. Sometimes, I may tell you that technology isn’t the right answer. I seek to respond to God’s leading – to connect the gifts and talents of our team with the ministry challenges facing our clients. Most days I get to be a creative problem solver, senior consultant, creative catalyst, encourager, cruise director and counselor. Why I work here?We are all children of God, hence the 'COG' in our logo. God being the all-mighty turning 'Master' COG and all others being 'COGs' turning from the powerful spirit force of Him turning. When He stops turning, we will all be called up by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be with Him to turn in our glorified bodies. We are called to be “fishers of men.” The trouble is, the world is totally out-fishing the church. My passion is to help churches and ministries be more effective at fishing by being more strategic in their communications. And, I have an entrepreneurial spirit and a ministry heart. This is the perfect place for me. What I did before COGMC?Account Executive for Fortune 1000 of a large corporate communications firm and Church Administrator. Family, pets?Married to my wife, Toyia, six awesome children (daughters) ranging from 23 to 1 years old. No pets! Favorite indulgence food?Chicken, Pasta and a Spinach Salad. |
